Did you know that beta-carotene is the pigment that gives oranges their color? That’s right! And beta-carotene is turned into vitamin A by the body. Wow!
But that’s not all beta-carotene does it also helps protect us against diseases like cancer.
Because beta-carotene is an anti-oxidant, it helps defend against the tiny free radicals that can storm around in our bodies. The free radicals can hurt the cells in our body - so we need beta-carotene and other anti-oxidants to help protect us!
