California and Florida produce most of the sweet bell peppers eaten in the United States. Green bell peppers are available year-round; they are grown in California during the summer and fall and in Florida during the winter and spring. Look for green, red, orange, and yellow bell peppers in your supermarkets throughout the year, and occasionally you may find purple and brown bell peppers there, too. |
