Did you know there is a difference between California and Florida grapefruit? Florida grapefruit have a thinner peel and are sweeter and less pulpy than the California varieties. They are mainly found in stores between November and June. California grapefruit are easier to peel, but their flavor is much more mild. You can find California grapefruit in stores in late summer and fall.
