Blueberries
How to Select & Store

Whether you’re browsing in the produce aisle, or visiting your local farmer's market for fresh blueberries, look for plump, juicy, yet firm berries with a deep purple to blue-black skin highlighted by a silvery sheen. Blueberries do not ripen after harvest, so they are ready to eat as soon as you buy them!

When you bring them home, place the berries in your refrigerator. Blueberries will only last in your refrigerator for about 2–3 days.

If you have extra blueberries, you can freeze them to eat later. Wash them and let them dry before freezing. Arrange berries in a single layer on a cookie sheet and freeze. After they are frozen, transfer the berries to plastic bags or containers.
