Raspberries
Types
There are over 200 different types of raspberries in the world wow! And not all of them are red! There are three different groups of raspberries: red, black, and golden.

*Red Raspberries |
Red Raspberries are the most popular everyone loves eating them! That’s why they are grown more than any other raspberry types. Hooray!

**Black Raspberries |
Black Raspberries are firmer than red raspberries - they also have more seeds.
Black and red raspberries are different from Blackberries because of how they grow. When you pick Blackberries, the receptacle (the white nub that the berry grows on) comes off with the fruit.
But when you pick red and black raspberries, the receptacle stays on the plant leaving the fruit with a hole in the middle!
Purple raspberries are a mix between red and black raspberries. This raspberry is purple with small white blossoms. The berry is very sweet and delicious so it’s perfect for baking pies or munching fresh!

*Golden or Yellow Raspberries |
Golden or Yellow Raspberries are not grown commercially but are becoming more popular in specialty bakeries and markets. This berry is a little softer than the red and black varieties and is just as delicious!
