Carrots
Growing Regions

Carrots are a cool-season crop, but they can also be grown in moderately warm weather. Although carrots love to grow in seacoast climates where the soil is deep, sandy and crumbly, they are so hardy that they can be grown almost anywhere.

In the United States, California is the biggest producer of carrots. Colorado, Michigan and Florida also grow a lot of carrots.

In addition to the United States, China is a leading producer of carrots.
